LM2135SP review
EGO LM2135SP at a glance
The LM2135SP is a 21-inch self-propelled battery mower from EGO’s Select Cut family, sold as a kit with a 56V 7.5Ah battery and a Rapid Charger. This EGO LM2135SP review is built from EGO’s product page and retailer listings, not from our own mowing time, so every claim below is on paper.
EGO’s page also lists sibling configurations: LM2134SP-2 and LM2132SP-2 (two-battery kits with 6Ah or 4Ah packs) and the tool-only LM2130SP. EGO’s page showed no price and a Coming Soon banner when we read it.
Motor, battery and runtime
The mower uses a brushless motor on the 56V ARC Lithium platform. EGO claims up to 7.0 ft-lb of cutting torque and up to 60 minutes of runtime on the 7.5Ah pack, with about 60 minutes to recharge. Independent reviewer testing at top speed ran about 50 minutes, so the maker figure is a best case.
Any EGO 56V battery fits, which matters if you already own EGO trimmers or blowers. The motor is described as a brushless design, which generally means less wear than brushed motors, though EGO publishes no durability figures.
Select Cut blades and deck
The name refers to the swappable blade system. An upper blade works with a choice of lower blades: mulching (installed), a high-lift bagging blade and an extended-runtime blade. Retail listings name the lower blades differently (Premium Mulching and Tri-Cut), so the exact set in the box may vary.
Discharge is 3-in-1 with a two-bushel bag included. Cutting height has eight positions from 1 to 4 inches on EGO’s page, but Acme Tools and a reviewer list seven positions from 1.5 to 4 or 4.5 inches. We would trust the box label over any web page.
Drive, weight and handling
Touch Drive engages when you press the palm pad on the handle and a dial sets speed, which EGO gives as 0.9 to 3.1 mph. A reviewer quoted 1.8 to 3.6 mph, which is another disagreement. Weight is not stated by EGO. A reviewer reported 62.5 lb and Kent lists 72.95 lb assembled, so expect something in that range.
LED headlights, a push-button start and a fold-down handle for storage round out the features, and the build is rated IPX4 for splashes. One-handed height adjustment is also listed, which helps when you change between mulching and bagging heights mid-lawn.
Warranty and who should buy it
EGO lists 5 years on the tool and 3 years on the battery. The LM2135SP suits small to mid-size lawns where you want self-propel and a blade you can change for the job. If you mow thick grass for over an hour at a time, the XP model or a second battery is the safer plan.
