LM2114 review
EGO LM2114 overview
The LM2114 is a 21-inch push mower, not self-propelled, and it is the lowest-cost route into EGO’s mower range among the models in this batch. The kit has a 56V 6.0Ah battery and charger. Ace Hardware sells it as part of its EGO Power+ 600 Series at $499. EGO’s own LM2114 page was not available to us, so specs come from Ace Hardware and two other retailers. One retailer listing was a Canadian dealer at $629 CAD, which is a different market from the US price.
This EGO LM2114 review treats the push version only. Do not confuse it with the LM2114SP, which is the self-propelled version with the same 6.0Ah battery. The tool-only push model is LM2110.
Power and runtime
A brushless motor delivers up to 6.0 ft-lb of cutting torque per the retailers, below the 7.0 and 8.3 ft-lb on the other EGO models here. Runtime is up to 55 minutes. One retailer lists a 320W charger and an 80 minute charge time, noticeably slower than the Rapid Charger kits.
Cutting and discharge
The deck is 21 inches with an advanced mulching blade. You can mulch, bag or side-discharge, and a two-bushel bag comes in the kit. Cutting height is seven positions from 1.25 to 4 inches with one-handed adjustment. Deck material and weight were not listed on any page we read.
Handling and features
Being a push mower, it relies on you for propulsion, which is a real consideration on slopes or thick grass. A push mower also tires you out sooner on long lawns, so the 55-minute battery claim may outlast your patience before it runs flat. It has a push-button start, LED headlights, adjustable handle height and a fold-flat design, and is rated IPX4 for water resistance.
Warranty and who should buy it
Retailers list a 5-year tool warranty and a 3-year battery warranty. Because these figures come from retailers and not the maker, check the final spec sheet in the box. A push mower at this price suits flat suburban lots, townhouse yards and anyone who just wants quiet, gas-free mowing. Anyone with a hilly or large yard should look at the self-propelled models instead.
