Which Greenworks 80V 21-inch mower this is
Greenworks sells several 80V 21-inch mowers, so this review pins down one: the 3-in-1 self-propelled model with SKU 2515902 and a 4.0Ah battery, which Greenworks lists at $699.99 with a crossed-out price and a $559.99 sale price. The page was sold out when we read it. We chose it because it is the plainest 21-inch 80V self-propelled kit with a US maker page.
Related variants exist. A 5.0Ah version (SKU 2502402NV) appears on Greenworks Canada, and Lowe’s lists a Pro two-battery model, MO80L421. Where they differ, we say so.
Motor and battery
The mower has a brushless 1500W motor on the 80V platform. With the included 4.0Ah battery Greenworks claims up to 45 minutes, and the 5.0Ah Canadian variant claims up to 70 minutes, a gap larger than the battery difference suggests. Greenworks puts coverage at up to a third of an acre and recharge at 60 minutes. Lowe’s lists the two-battery Pro at up to 70 minutes and three-quarters of an acre.
Deck and cutting
The deck is 21-inch steel with seven heights from 1 3/8 to 3 3/4 inches on a single lever. Discharge is 3-in-1 (mulch, bag, side) and a 60 liter grass bag is included. Greenworks does not list the blade details for this SKU, so we cannot say how many blades or what steel they use. The bag capacity of 60 liters is a metric figure, so convert it if you compare against bushel ratings on other brands.
Drive, weight and warranty
Drive is variable-speed rear-wheel self-propel. Weight is listed at 71.65 lb for the 4.0Ah model, while the 5.0Ah Canadian page says 68.34 lb. Warranty is 4 years on the tool and battery.
Note that the page prints two model names, LM2138S and MO80L00, alongside the SKU, so quote the SKU when shopping.
Who should buy it
This Greenworks 80V 21-inch mower review points to a model for owners with up to about a third of an acre who want a moderately priced self-propelled battery mower with a 4-year warranty.
