Exmark Radius Review
The Radius gives you a thick-skirted deck, 8 to 9 mph and a 7-gallon tank for much less than a Lazer Z. Pages disagree on a few details, so check the exact trim.

Radius review
Where the Radius sits
The Radius is Exmark’s step-down line for serious homeowners and light commercial users, priced between the Quest and the Lazer Z. Exmark’s page shows E-Series at $6,699, S-Series at $7,199 and X-Series at $9,999 in cash price. The Radius arrived as a new line in the oemoffhighway press release we found.
This Exmark Radius review covers all three trims, so sizes and engines are given as ranges.
Engine and speed
Exmark lists the S-Series with a 23 hp Kawasaki FR691V on the 48 and 52-inch and a 24 hp FR730V on the 60-inch. The E-Series is described as using premium Kawasaki engines, though the same page’s FAQ says Exmark V-twin, so that is unresolved. The X-Series engine is not given.
Top speed is up to 8 mph on the E-Series and up to 9 mph on the S-Series. Exmark lists a HydroGear ZT-3100 on the S-Series.
Deck
The S-Series uses an UltraCut Series 3 deck with a 10-gauge top and 7-gauge skirts, in 48, 52 and 60-inch widths. The E-Series uses a Series 2+ fabricated and welded deck in 48, 54 and 60 inches. Blade tip speed is about 18,500 ft/min.
A 7-gauge skirt is notably thicker than the 11-gauge decks on entry machines like the Ariens IKON.
Comfort and size
Fuel capacity is 7 gallons and the S-Series has 23-inch drive tires. The 60-inch is 72.3 inches wide and 80.5 inches long. Weight and cutting height are not on Exmark’s page. A third-party review table lists a full-suspension seat for the S and X-Series, but that article is not Exmark’s own data.
Warranty and fit
Exmark’s page lists 4 years or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first, for the line. The third-party review lists lower hour limits for the E and S-Series, so confirm with a dealer. The Radius suits owners of three to ten acres who want commercial-style decks without the Lazer Z price.
